I wrote earlier about how I quit caffeine, mainly for health reasons. And also for my sanity. Today I relapsed. Well, I don't like to use the word relapse. Makes it sound like I'm a junkie. I prefer to say I revisited caffeine. Also did it once last month when I went to the cat cafe. 

This morning I woke up at about 2am. And I laid in bed playing Clash Royale until about 6am. My alarm would go off at 630 and I figured why even bother sleeping. So I got out of bed and went to McDonalds to get a cup of coffee. 

Now I am awake. I already saw my oldest son off to school. And my youngest son will be getting up in a half hour. I'm just enjoying some me time with my coffee. I like it, I can see why people like coffee. But I'll try not to make it a habit again. 

It does become habit forming. And like any addictive substance, coffee or caffeine seems to be such that the more you drink it, the more you need to get the same effect. And when you drink it all the time you aren't getting as much pleasure out of it. Instead it's just being consumed to ward off the withdrawal symptoms. 

So I'm going to see how today goes with coffee. I am at least writing a blog post right now. I haven't been very productive on my site lately so this is a good change. And well, here I am drinking caffeine and I'm actually getting something written even if it's just a blog post about caffeine.
