I've often thought of this. Do you call the narcissist out when they are doing their BS? 

You don't. They don't respond as a normal person would. 

It would be great if you could just show the narcissist how they are behaving. Doing so would certainly make them give some thought to how they act, right? 

Nope. It doesn't work that way.

A normal person responds to criticism in a normal way. They take a serious look at themselves and their behavior. They consider how their behavior affects you, how it makes themself appear. They may not agree with you, but normal people will self-reflect when you call them out.

That's not the case with narcissists. They're not listening to you, and they don't care about you. They don't care about what you think.
