So much that is written about the law of attraction focuses on using thoughts in the manifestation process. And thoughts are definitely important for that. But I don't think that much or enough is said about the important role that feelings have in manifestation. To me it seems that thoughts by themselves have no power without feelings.
Feelings it seems kind of give amplification and direction to the thought.
As Charles handle wrote in the law of attraction, feelings give vitality to thought:
Make the Mental Image. Make it clear, distinct, perfect; hold it firmly; the ways and means will develop; supply will follow the demand; you will be led to do the right thing at the right time and in the right way. Earnest Desire will bring about Confident Expectation, and this in turn must be reinforced by Firm Demand. These three cannot fail to bring about Attainment, because the Earnest Desire is the feeling, the Confident Expectation is the thought, and the Firm Demand is the will, and, as we have seen, feeling gives vitality to thought and the will holds it steadily until the Law of Growth brings it into manifestation.
Without feelings, the thoughts don't have much substance. Haanel talks about earnest desire as the feeling that brings attainment, but I think that other feelings can also bring attainment, even fear.
I have thought sometimes that thoughts and feelings in the law of attraction are analogous to voltage and current in an electrical circuit. A 12 volt battery will do nothing unless current can flow. Only then can the battery power lights or motors. In the same way, thoughts seem to require feelings - or emotion - to set the thoughts in motion and accomplish things.
Thoughts and feelings might also be analogous to a radio station, where the thoughts would be the music or message being transmitted, and the transmitter apparatus is the feelings or the emotions. The songs played on the radio wouldn't leave the building that the station resides in if it weren't for the transmitter.
Here's some sites that discuss the role of feelings and emotions in manifesting through the law of attraction.
Anyway, I've studied the Law of Attraction for a long time and I feel that most of the sources of information I've read are very thought-centric and not enough feeling-centric. I've been incorporating a better sense of my feelings in my life and understanding how my thoughts and my reality relate to my feelings, and it's been very interesting. I suggest that if you're in a similar situation where you've focused a lot on the thought and not much on the feel that you get an understanding of what feelings actually do and what role they have in our thinking and our attainment. It's very interesting, but as is the case with a lot of mind stuff there's no precise way to put it in words and personal exploration is the only way to maximize what you can learn about it.
