I've been watching hours of John Rose, whose videos I just discovered tonight. He is an advocate of juice fasting and other non-mainstream health adaptations. I've enjoyed his videos and might go on a juice fast like I did once many years ago.

But something that comes up a lot in John Rose's videos is "biophotons", a word I've never heard of tonight. Biophotons, as I understand are kind of like a particle, or light, that comes from living things. Sounds far fetched, right?

So I had to Google these biophotons to see what they are about from other perspectives. What I found is that biophotons are not only real, but they are well researched by what appear to be mainstream scientists.

I'll leave you with some links to articles related to research on biophotons.

An introduction to human biophoton emission. - NCBI

Biophoton emission is the spontaneous emission of ultraweak light emanating from all living systems, including man. The emission is linked to the endogenous production of excited states within the living system.

Biophotons as Subtle Energy Carriers - NCBI

Biophotons are photons (light particles) that are generated within the body, and these could be measured as they emanate from the skin. Similarly, bioelectrons are available from within the body; these are measured in instruments such as electro-photonic imaging.

Biophoton - Wikipedia

Biophotons are photons of light in the ultraviolet and low visible light range that are produced by a biological system.

Biophoton Communication: Can Cells Talk Using Light?

A growing body of evidence suggests that the molecular machinery of life emits and absorb photons. Now one biologist has evidence that this light is a new form of cellular communication.

So yeah, I don't think that the way that John Rose speaks of biophotons is in agreement with the ideas of mainstream scientists researching biophotons, but biophotons - both mainstream and alternative perspectives - are something I find fascinating and are something I want to study more.
