Active styluses are wonderful and offer a level of drawing precision that is unmatched ny non-active styluses.
There's a new stylus for the iPad that's just $30. It connects to the headphone jack. It's considered a less expensive alternative to the $99 Apple Pencil.
There are some downsides. At the moment, the SonarPen only supports pressure sensitivity and palm rejection on two apps so far.
