Like many others, I find the One Laptop Per Child computer, also known as the XO laptop, very interesting. I'm amazed at how much excellent software is put into those little green laptops.

There have been times I would have liked to buy one, and there was a time when the creators of the OLPC computer had an offer where the general public could purchase them when a donation is made to the organization.

I even tried Sugar on a Stick, an implementation of the One Laptop Per Child software and user interface that runs on just about any computer.

Still, I think owning an OLPC would provide the best One Laptop Per Child experience, but as I mentioned, the OLPC people are not selling them to the general public.

However, you can find them on eBay.

Searching on eBay for "OLPC" brings back about a dozen results for used XO laptops for sale. I didn't see many with a "Buy it Now" price listing, but there was one at the time that I checked that had a price of just 200 USD.
