Benign fasciculation, or Benign fasciculation Syndrome, is a twitchy condition. Precisely, it is a harmless condition where voluntary muscles of the body twitch. It can be a constant twitching, or it car be a  once in a while thing.

Benign fasciculation is common in the eyelids, arms, legs and feet.

Benign fasciculation syndrome symptoms

The twitching is the main feature of Benign fasciculation but some people have pain, fatigue, cramping & other uncomfortable features that happen with the benign fasciculation.

Causes of benign fasciculation syndrome

Twitching can be caused by lots of different things and what exactly causes benign faciculation is not known. It is however closely related to anxiety.

Strangely, benign faciculation seems to be common in people who have a history of doing regular strenuous exercise.

Also, magnesium deficiency may be a cause of benign faciculation.

Benign fasciculation is diagnosed when other disorders that case twitching are first ruled out. This means that benign fasciculation is diagnosed as a result of ruling out other twitching disorders. In other words, benign fasciculation syndrome is not directly diagnosed.

Benign faciculation seems to be related to anxiety and treating a person's anxiety may be a successful way of treating their Benign Fasciculation.
