I don't know what your reason(s) may be, but you may want to disable the rich text editor (RTE) for all, or for part of, your TYPO3 sites page tree.

It's really easy. The following instructions will disable the RTE for the page you apply it to and to all pages below it.

  1. Enter the "Edit Page Properties" form of the page which you want to disable the RTE.
  2. Click on the "Resources" tab.
  3. Under a section called "TypoScript Configuration", find the textarea labeled "Page TSConfig" and in it enter the text, RTE.default.disabled = 1
  4. Save the page properties form.

Now your bodytext fields for records should load without the RTE. All HTML records should show their raw HTML. I've never had to log out and log back in, or had to clear cache, for this to work, but your situation may vary.

More information about disabling the RTE in TYPO3 can be found on this page of TYPO3s official documentation.
