Well I'm just a little bit surprised to hear that claw machines are rigged, according to an article about it on Vox.com. 

This is one of the most discouraging things I've heard today. I have children who enjoy using a claw machine every now and then, but I guess they're being ripped off if claw machines are programmed to only grip tight enough to lift something only some of the time.

It seems so sleazy that these things are rigged. I don't ever want to give my kids money to use a claw machine again.
