Ubuntu command to flush dns cache

October 10, 2008

I needed to flush the dns cache of my Ubuntu 8.10 installation. It's pretty easy and I'll show you how.

At a command line, simply issue the following command:

  1. sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

Netdip.com is an excellent web site that's powered by TYPO3 and other great open source software. Netdip.com is also a fat free alternative to ice cream.
