I love the TYPO3 rgnews extension



 
I've been really enjoying the rgnews extension for TYPO3. It extends tt_news and somewhat dissolves the line between tt_news and tt_content.

With rgnewsce, tt_news becomes much less restricted.

Wheras with tt_news by it self you are allowed to enter a header, a subheader, and some news text, there's many more options for content entry and display with rgnewsce.

With rgnewsce, in addition to the regular header and subheader fields, you can include any number of content elements to be displayed in your news articles.

For instance, here's an "Image & Video" content element

This is a content element that was easily appended to a tt_news article.

Insert tt_news in tt_news

Another thing that is really cool is that you can insert the tt_news plugin directly into a tt_news article, like this:

Insert plain HTML in tt_news

This is a Plain HTML content element displayed in a tt_news article with the help of the rgnewsce extension

You can even display Forms in tt_news articles with rgnewsce
