How to Clear OpenX Cache

I recently have been troubled by the problem that when I make changes in OpenX, they aren't immediately displayed. Learn how to clear the cache when using OpenX.

It was causing me lots of frustration when I was making changes to some of my banners served by OpenX but when refreshing the pages of my web site, OpenX was still serving the old versions of my ads.

A simple remedy to this problem if you're having it too, is to clear OpenX's cache.

Clearing the cache in OpenX is easily accomplished by deleting everything in the openx/var/cache directory.

This assumes that you have OpenX installed in a directory named "openx" of course. If it is not, then modify the above method of clearing the cache accordingly.

Once you've deleted everything stored in OpenX's /var/cache directory, you'll immediately see the changes you didn't see when OpenX was serving ads from the cache.

I hope this helps somebody out.
