About a month ago, I signed up for an email newsletter published by a purported Google Adsense guru. I didn't have great hopes in receiving some wonderful information about how to increase my Adsense revenue, but I signed up for his newsletter because I was curious as to what can be learned from a "guru".
I stayed on his list for about a month before I unsubscribed. The tipping point for me was that this "guru" made no mention of using Adsense Channels.
He mentioned the usual stuff like positioning ads next to content, choosing good keywords, and all of the other run of the mill advice that can be gained by logging in to any webmaster forum on any day. He also tried to sell a lot of products to me and his other email recipients.
But why did he not mention Adsense Channels?
I've wondered if the reason he didn't mention using Adsense Channels to track which ads and pages perform best might be because he didn't know anything about Adsense Channels. If that's the case, I wonder why he's so regarded as an Adsense "expert".
Also, I thought that maybe he was aware of using Adsense Channels, but he wanted to save the idea for those who bought his paid Adsense course. But that probably wasn't so, because he made no effort to hint that he might talk about using channels in any way.
It's quite disappointing that there's so many purported "make money online" guru types who provide so little value to anyone but the freshest n00bs.

The so called "gurus" of Adsense will offer you little information that will help you, as they're much more concerned about making money off of you by selling you their products.
