Samsung's Soundcamp is a music production app that runs on some of their more powerful phones. The app will only run on Samsung phones, but it should be noted that Soundcamp is not compatible with all Samsung phones.

Soundcamp is a full music studio app, very similar to Apple's Garageband software that runs on the iOS platform, that allows you to record and edit music tracks. A variety of instruments and effects are available to allow many kinds of sounds and songs to be created.

Soundcamp is free for compatible devices. It is available from Samsungs Galaxy Apps store (opens in Galaxy Apps), or from Google's Play store

One of the biggest things that separates Soundcamp from similar apps on the Android platform is that Soundcamp works with Samsung's Professional Audio solution.

Samsung's professional audio solution allows music apps like Soundcamp to operate with low-latency. Before Samsung's professional audio solution came along, there really wasn't much that would allow you to record or play a virtual instrument without noticeable lag. iOS users have had low latency audio and music making capability for years. This is new for Android, and Samsung had to come up with their own low-latency audio solution because it's a feature that isn't built into Android.
